Constitution of AANOA
The AANOA Constitutive General Assembly, chaired by Intendant-General Lassana Palenfo, President of the Association of Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) was held held from December 10 to 13, 2008 in Tunis (Tunisia), under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), ANOCA and the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA). Intendant-General Lassana Palenfo, President of the Association de Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) was held held from December 10 to 13, 2008 in Tunis (Tunisia), under the auspices of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), ANOCA and the Tunisian National Olympic Committee (CNOT).
Sixteen (16) National Olympic Academies were represented at this constitutive General Assembly: Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Guinea, Kenya, Mali, Mauritius, Senegal, Seychelles, Sudan, Swaziland, Chad and Tunisia. The meeting saw the adoption of AANOA's statutes and the election of its first Board of Directors, chaired by Dr. Ridha LAYOUNI (Tunisia).
